I was taking a class at Eagle Hill in Maine with Dr. Lowen and she happened to have in her collection a specimen of a plant pathogen that 'glues' sticks together. My photo collection at home contained some images from several years earlier when i noted this strange occurrence. So i was thrilled that she informed me of this, because i cant possibly imagine where i would have seen this info on the web. Her book collection is extensive, though the literature about it was quite technical for me. The synonym list for this species is long may be why there is lacking info. There are many European references to it being common. There are 3 species of Hyphodermella. Its in the order Polyporales and in the family Phanerochaetaceae
