Resupinate crust fungus. Not found on conifer wood, as Audubon Field Guide says it should be. This was found on Cape Fuchsia (Phygelius capensis) stems, several years old. Curling in age seems to match with Peniophora gigantea, (now Phlebiopsis gigantea) as well as the cream- to yellowish- to slightly pink-surface. However, I have not collected this before and have not put it under a scope, so can only suggest it "could be" this. I'd welcome other opinions, too.
