Caloplaca aurantia is commom at this location. Usually the center of the thallus is crowded of apothecia (see, for instance, observation 80374 and observation 104760). One of its variants is a kind of pinkish hue (see observation 104760 and observation 107781). This specimen is different from the above cited in that only presents few apothecia and the center of thallus is more brownish. However, according to the British Flora, only three species (from those considered therein) have lemon-shaped spores: C. aurantia, C. flavescens and C. thallincola and, clearly the flat lobes and the zonation of thallus point to the first species. Another feature to take into account is the swollen apices of paraphyses.
