First observed on 20150622. Growing on west-facing underside of fallen pine log on north-facing 'slope' that receives little, if any, direct sunlight. Colony approximately 1 meter in length. Observations appear to match Pycnoporellus alboluteus with respect to no cap, 'eroded' pores giving a tooth-like appearance, 'velvet' appearance. Color is more golden yellow fading to white, than orange fading to white noted in references. All images, except pore surface, captured on 20150622. Color in images is accurate. Second observation, 20150629. Soft to touch. Sections of fungus lifting off in layers. Image of pore surface. KOH test not performed (will have to perform in 2016) Odor not determined. Submitting this observations because of limited distribution noted for Pycnoporellus alboluteus If this is not Pycnoporellus alboluteus, is this a different species?
