On an endangered old-growth Manzanita (Arctostaphylos pallida) at the top of a ridge. Mixed old-growth chaparral, with morning fog being a frequent occurrence on this ridge, especially historically. Not discernibly inflated; fibrils present; soralia becoming as large as the branches, especially at tips; isidiomorphs present on immature soralia only, and mostly near the tips; soredia granular. Thallus lightly colored, shrubby and fairly dense.
