Growing on fallen log in mixed forest of pine, fir, and oak. Could not identify type of tree. Pores pink upon collection but after a week darkened and broke up into jagged edges as seen under dissecting scope (see photo). This species seems to be common in the West as compared to the Eastern species, T. biformis, and biformis is found on aspen. Don't recall seeing aspen around although potentially it could be.
