Pileus: < 1 cm and a bright orange yellow collor. Lumped and uneven. Gills: Same bright orange color, with faintly decurrent false gills. Stipe: < 2 cm with a hollow stipe and same orange color. This species is known to be mycorrhizal with oaks, beech, and birch trees, but was found growing in a group on some moss on a log. Collected on 10/03/2023 in the Duke Forest.
