I found this beautiful bolete in early August in a wooded area dominated by oaks. Note the somewhat glabrous and corrugated pilepellis and the pale brown stipe with prominent white reticulation. No staining or discoloration upon handling and longitudinal cutting. Did not perform any macrochemical tests. Quite a rare find: this is only the second time I collect this mushroom at the above location in the past three years.
