United States, Ohio, Put-in-Bay, Coopers Woods. Growing on a hardwood stick. Caps fuzzy and white and remaining so when dried. Young gills white. Spores rusty brown on gills. Pileipellis covered in curly, clamped hyphae. Irregularly-shaped cheilocystidia abundant.Pleurocystidia absent or rare. Basidia 4-spored. Spores ellipsoid, smooth, thin-walled and lacking distinct germ pores. Spore measurements: (6.4) 7.2 - 9.4 (11.1) × (4.5) 4.7 - 5.7 (6) µm, Q = (1.3) 1.4 - 1.7 (1.9); N = 30, Me = 8.1 × 5.1 µm; Qe = 1.6, 41.6468 -82.8227
