Hood National Forest, Hood River Ranger District, From the Dee Mill and the jct of the 13 and 2820 raods. Follow the 2820 northwest for 11.3 miles to the trail #411 trailhead. Hike the 411 trail north for approximately 2.2 miles. Then leave the trail and head northeast onto ridge. Follow the ridge notheast for about 6000 feet to Reference pont tree. Note: ALoow plenty of time to get to the smaple unit and to hike out.
