Single fruiting body found growing in mossy Pseudotsuga menziesii var. menziesii needle litter in an old-growth stand of that species. Cap 3.3 cm wide. Gills adnate. Full length gills 1.5 cm long. Stem 5.6 cm long with needles adhering to the base; 0.3 cm wide at apex; 0.2 cm wide toward the middle and at the base. Spore print white. Taste bitter. Odor indistinct.

All structures inamyloid. Clamp connections present in lamellar trama. Pleurocystidia abundant: tapered gloeocystidia with yellowish content in Melzer's reagent. Most pleurocystidia found in Melzer's reagent appeared to be somewhat collapsed. Pleurocystidia measurements: (51) 52.1 - 64.8 (70.1) × (19.1) 21.2 - 26.7 (28) µm, Q = (1.9) 2.1 - 2.9 (3.1); N = 8, Me = 59.6 × 24.6 µm; Qe = 2.5. Basidia clavate and 4-sterigmate.
