Stem 5.6 cm long with needles adhering to the base; 0.3 cm wide at apex; 0.2 cm wide toward the middle and at the base. Spore print white. Taste bitter. Odor indistinct.

United States, Ohio, Ashland County. Mohican State Park. Found by Jessica Rosenlieb on a group foray. Strong cucumber-like odor. Spore print faint but very light brownish where visible. All structures inamyloid. Clamp connections present in lamellar trama. Pleurocystidia abundant: tapered gloeocystidia with yellowish content in Melzer's reagent. Most pleurocystidia found in Melzer's reagent appeared to be somewhat collapsed.
