Potential ECM hosts noticed in the area were Quercus spp, Pinus strobus, Tsuga canadensis, Fagus grandifolia, Carpinus caroliniana and Betula alleghaniensis (probably not for this one). Locally abundant. Odor spermatic. Thick-walled pelurocystidia with obtuse and crystal-encrusted apices abundant. Pleurocystidia measurements: (40.8) 41.9 - 50.6 (57.2) × (11.5) 12.3 - 13.6 (16.1) µm, Q = (3.2) 3.3 - 3.7 (4); N = 6, Me = 46.6 × 13.2 µm; Qe = 3.5. Basidia 4-sterigmate. Basidia measurements: (22.2) 22.24 - 30.17 (30.2) × (6.7) 6.75 - 7.9 µm, Q = 2.8 - 4.4; N = 4, Me = 26.7 × 7.2 µm ; Qe = 3.7. Spores brown and with 1 large guttule. Spore measurements: (7.5) 7.9 - 9.3 (9.5) × (4) 4.4 - 5 (5.3) µm, Q = (1.6) 1.7 - 1.9 (2); N = 30, Me = 8.4 × 4.7 µm; Qe = 1.8, 40.6126 -82.3166
