Pseudoparaphyses present. Asci bitunicate and 8-spored. Spores brown, spiny and with 4 transverse septa at maturity. Spore measurements: (16.6) 17.9 - 22.8 (23.9) × (4.1) 4.3 - 5.4 (5.9) µm, Q = (3.6) 3.9 - 4.5 (4.8); N = 30, Me = 20 × 4.8 µm; Qe = 4.2, 51.4845 -0.1617
