United States, Ohio, Delaware and Franklin Cos, Highbanks Metro Park. Collected by Neil Mezache. Growing on the underside of a Quercus log in a mixed hardwood forest. Possible host trees in the area were Quercus spp, Carya spp, Fagus grandifolia, Ostrya virginiana and Carpinus caroliniana. Monomitic with simple-septate generative hyphae. Clamps completely lacking, even at the bases of basidia. Cystidia and hyphidia absent. Basidia-4sterigmate. Spores smooth and thick-walled. Spore measurements: (3.7) 4.2 - 4.9 (5.2) × (3.7) 4 - 4.6 (5.1) µm, Q = 1 - 1.1 (1.2); N = 30, Me = 4.5 × 4.3 µm; Qe = 1.1
