United States, Ohio, Growing on fallen Magnolia acuminata cones at the edge of the 'Asbury fen'. Locally abundant. Basidiocarps becoming yellowish-brown in drying. All structures inamyloid. Clamps absent in the pileipellis and lamellar trama. Pileipellis composed of rounded cells with scattered pileocystidia. Pileocystidia smooth, hyline, and lageniform to conical. Pleurocystidia scattered; thick-walled and fusoid-ventricose. Cheilocystidia forming a narrow band; hyline, smooth and fusoid-ventricose to fusoid. Spores smooth, hyline and thin-walled., 41.2706 -81.1505

Google Map
