Miami University, Willard Sherman Turrell Herbarium (MU)The Miami University Herbarium houses approximately 675,000 specimens of vascular plants, bryophytes, algae, lichens, fungi, and fossil plant specimens. The collections are worldwide in scope, with a focus on North America, Ohio, and the Caribbean, with material dating back to the 1790’s. Major fungal collectors include F.W. Anderson, W.B. Cooke, J.B. Ellis, B.M. Everhart, B. Fink, F.O. Grover, F.D. Kelsey, M.L. Lohman, W.A. Murrill, L.O. Overholts, and L.E. Wehmeyer.
