Herbarium Amanitarum Rooseveltensis (RET)Herbarium Amanitarum Rooseveltensis (RET; established ca. 1977) contains approximately 5,000 vouchers of species of the Amanitaceae (Agaricales, Basidiomycetes) from throughout the world, but with a focus on the Western Hemisphere. The herbarium serves as the primary repository of material revised and/or published by R.E. Tulloss and co-authors (extensively referenced on www.amanitaceae.org). More than 10% of the collections have been sampled for molecular studies on Amanitaceae or associated organisms (e.g., yeasts) growing on their fruiting structures. A number of collections have been also been sampled for other research projects, including studies on hyperaccumulation in agarics of silver and other metals. Contacts: Rodham E.
