La face eterne de la volve, rousse, couverte de tres petites verrues, se fend en plusieurs lambeaux; l'interieur es presque noir ainsi que le receptacle, qui s'ouvre par un bec conique lacinie ou divise en pinceau. Les spore ne presentent rien de remarquable.
